From time to time we are contacted by top-notch, world-famous Israeli artists, who want us to "translate" their artwork into the form of carpets.
Most naturally, and nearly automatically, they’re looking to turn their paintings into wall hangings. And we go along with their wishes.
But just recently, the artist David Gerstein called, and he had a completely different idea of how the "translation" should be done: as area rugs, of course! How great is that?!
Everyone knows David Gerstein's creations with their bright, cheerful colors, and I was in fact very excited about the project.
